I wanted a way to reach the plums at the top of the tree without getting out a ladder. This attaches to the end of a pole used for a paint roller. Its in multiple pieces that are screwed together with decking nails.
You don't need the spring...just use a rubber band as pictured. You also don't need the wheel for the spring, but I liked the extra leverage.
I also tried to use this on ripe figs - you'll need some sort of padding to prevent tearing them.
