This is my take on the spaceship the "Keeper" used on the 2 part Lost in Space episode "The Keeper". It has not been printed in its entirety, I only printed a few test pieces.

The Keeper, Parts One and Two — The only two-parter during the show's run, this one stars Michael Rennie (The Day the Earth Stood Still) as an intergalactic zookeeper looking for two new specimens for his exhibit — Will and Penny! Coming at the midpoint of season one, this was the high watermark of the show's original (serious) concept of a family struggling to survive in a hostile environment.

It was shown in the episodes as only a matte painting in the distance and shots of the lower cabin for closeup scenes. Based on those two main views and the look of the design I decided that the legs would fold up and that the center sections would collapse into the main body when it was flying. I designed that into the model. The legs are geared to the rings where they attach. It is a tight fit. If you want to be able to re-position the legs I'd file the ring gears down slightly. This will allow them to rotate then catch in whatever position you choose.

The ring is approximately 16" in diameter and the ship stands about 7.5" high. I do not recommend reducing the model. If you do the landing gear and door probably will not print.

You will need to rotate and group parts appropriately for your printer. I've given you some options for a few of the parts such as the ring that has it cut in different size segments. Make sure to print the entire set of rings, do not repeat a single section. I sized and cut this by hand so there is no guarantee the ring will fit right unless you print the entire set.

Enjoy the model!

Notes:

Some of the parts get pretty small. DO NOT SCALE THIS DOWN. You only need supports for some of the parts such as the legs. Most parts will print without support.
