Hover boards, or balance scooters, seemed to home and go with a "bang."  However, I think the newer, safer versions out now provide a great opportunity for those with limited mobility.  An electric wheel chair or scooter can cost thousands of dollars, which is especially difficult for those on a limited, fixed income.

Enter the Handi Hover Mobility Bracket.

Once printed (I suggest ABS or PETG at 100% infill for strength) a 5/16" x 2" hex bolt is inserted through the hole, and felt tape is applied to the inside of the bracket.  The bracket is secured to the center of a standard hover board using 3" pipe clamps.

The front casters are removed from the wheelchair (this one was $20 at the Salvation Army) and extra brackets added.  The foremost bracket is attached to the Handi Hover Bracket with a few washers and a wingnut using thread lock.

All that the rider does is sits, and positions the feet on the pads of the balance scooter to propel themselves.  Minimal strength of the feet/lower legs is required, and even a child can ride it.

Warning**  A standard wheel chair is inherently top-heavy, and at hover board speeds is likely to tip (ask me how I know...)  I would suggest that if your hoverboard is beeping, you are going WAY TOO FAST!  There are some balance scooters that have the ability to limit speeds... it might be best to use one of those if you are worried about the rider going too fast.

---This is a NON-COMMERCIAL endeavor that is in development.  It is NOT appropriate to use this bracket, or any derivative of it, for commercial purposes.---

This bracket could also be used to connect a hand truck or a wagon to your hover board, to drag along your stuff as you go...
