AT-AT Walker Trading Card

Recreate Your Fave Episode Scenes with This Big-Time Mechanical Quadruped

On a 3D printer far, far away….

Make your own single-print trading card featuring the Imperial forces All Terrain – Armored Transport (AT-AT) Walker made infamous by the Star Wars film franchise. Collect ‘em; print, insert (in an envelope), and mail ‘em to any fellow Star Wars advocate; or, print an entire army of Walkers for deployment across your desktop; the choices are endless with this immensely portable, easily printed Star Wars AT-AT Walker Trading Card model.

The Model

This model has been designed to print on any 3D printer with a 6-x 6-inch build bed. If you elect to build this model, rather than collect and trade it, the recommended cement for construction is Testors Cement for Plastic Models (#3501). Hmm, maybe include a small tube of this cement with your collectible trading card when giving it to a friend.

Once all of the parts have been snipped free of the card’s framing/holding sprue, assembly is very straightforward. The four legs, for example, can easily be attached to any of the four drive motor hubs on the main body of this model. In fact, print several copies of the AT-AT Walker Trading Card and mix up the legs for building your own unique poses.

One final cautionary remark about post-processing part removal from the card’s sprue: be careful when removing the left part of the Command Section (head). Don’t trim the sprue too close to the Heavy Laser Cannon. Use the Command Section’s right part as a guide for determining the proper length of this weapon.

There is a small section of terrain included with this model. You can use this extra piece as a jig for assembling the foot pads onto the legs or try cementing your completed AT-AT Walker to this terrain for immediate insertion into your own movie scene. Lights, camera, blue screen; a stop-action movie sequence worthy of the next Star Wars episode is awaiting you.

Enjoy.
