This is a life-size (~7.5 cm/3'') model of the extinct arthropod Waptia fieldensis from the Cambrian. The taxonomy is not clearly resolved, but it may be close to crustaceans, which is why I modeled the coloration vaguely on a shrimp. This is my first model in resin.

Notes:
The carapace and body are separate files to make painting easier. I also split the body longitudinally so I could paint the inside of the alimentary canal when printing in transparent resin.
