This is a lightsaber for a Jedi of culture, armed with not only a lightsaber but two side daggers. Forged from the armor of a fallen Mandalorian, its steel is unbreakable. The technology is advanced, the blade cuts through all.

Overview and Background

Design

The design is rather simple. To begin, I made the basic shape (no side blades, holes, buttons, or grooves) of the lightsaber on a sketch and then revolved it. I pre-filleted my sketch so I didn't have to fillet when it is extruded. Then, on the front plane, draw the side daggers and extrude them out .2 inches. Follow by chamfering the edges. Then, cut out groves by sketching a rectangle and revolve, cutting them. Then, chamfer the insides, creating a cool pattern and a good grip once printed. Follow by creating a horizontal cut at the top and bottom using a 1,10 by .6 inch rectangle and cut it down by .75 mm. Then circular pattern this 16 times around the saber. make a hole, then circular pattern it 16 times excluding the ones that overlap with the daggers, do the same thing with the bottom, but, make it go all the way through to the top. Chamfer the top of the saber. Using the front plane, make two circles under the top bulges, and extrude them up .1 inch off the surface, chamfer them, then circular pattern them around 16 times, do the same thing for the gap in the bottom, but pattern them only 8 times. To make the buttons, cut out 2 holes on one side and fill them with the dome feature. Then use the hexagon sketch and cut it out for aesthetics. one the other side, cut out a larger circle. Make a cylinder inside this shape with an offset of 2 mm. Then, proceed to make a 4 mm wide circle with its center on the edge of the cylinder. circular pattern the small circle around the large circle as many times as you can without overlap. Cut extrude these holes to the bottom of the hole. Then, chamfer it. It will look like a dial at the end.
