by Jaenen

My name is Jaenen; and I have a monstergirl problem.

"Hi, Jaenen!" ("Pervert." "Shh!")

So, I was tooting around Thingiverse looking for stuff to print; looking for anything that might catch my fancy, and I spotted this: http://www.semaker.com/productdetail/20485

I have a weakness for monstergirls; an interest in 40k; and a buddy who plays GSC who I figured might like one of these. There was just one problem: after three attempts, I couldn't get the supports my Snapmaker added off the thing without breaking one or more claws. A 4th attempt resulted in easy de-supporting, but once I got everything off I saw that the hand-claws had basically been rendered as random heaps of spaghetti. I couldn't get the model uploaded into TinkerCAD; and I'm utter crap at using Meshmixer for anything other than splitting something in half for printing, so I was fairly sure I wasn't going to be able to get that specific monstergirl printed.

So I thought to myself, "Self. You're not getting this monstergirl printed. But you know your way around TinkerCAD, and there's plenty of other source material for you to work with. You can make your OWN monstergirl! With Blackjack! And Hookers!" So I went through the various STLs I'd acquired over the months since I'd picked up my Snapmaker; most of which I'd never actually done anything with; and hunted down a couple others for parts; and got to work in TinkerCAD.

This is the result.

And, being me, as I tinkered I pondered how such a thing might come to be; in universe for 40k; and somewhere in there it mutated from a purely Tyranid thing to something Imperial Guard-ized. I'm blaming a bunch of Magos Biologi cut off by the warp rift formed by the Fall of Cadia; who took advantage of a sudden lack of oversight; and a sudden need for reinforcements; deciding to go hog wild on weird-ass experiments; and somehow not all getting instantly purged for heresy once the Indominus Crusade got to them (Robute blames Cawl; and he's probably not wrong)

Given the schtick for my own Guard army is that they work for an Inquisitor who collects muscle for when he needs to throw violence at a problem - he'd actually have to ask nicely to get Space Marine help; but Guard he can just demand - it amused me to think that some might get rolled into his merry misfits and thus the Imperialized version. That got a homebrewed datasheet; and I intended to do one for a pure-nid version, but never got around to it; largely because I don't actually play 'Nids and am lazy.

Anyway. I frankenstiened this up in TinkerCAD from the various listed sources, and a Yoko Littner that I can't seem to track down anymore. Oh, and the grenade launchers have been edited from the version in the test print above; they should be much less flimsy now.

I decided to toss it up here because heresy this spicy deserves to be shared; and possibly to inspire someone who actually knows how to do 3D design to do up a different monstergirl PROPERLY. Hope it amuses someone.

Peace out, y'all.

Fluff for shits and giggles

Xenos-Hybrid Wendigos are the result of a group of desperate Magos Biologis with a talent in modifying Xenos; a burning need for reinforcements; a sudden lack of outside oversight; and between them, not enough common sense to think twice or ask “why not?” Trapped on the wrong side of the Warp Rift caused by the fall of Cadia; these Magos set about solving their problem of lack of forces.

Why they did not attempt to solve this by either brewing up an army of Afriel Strain soldiers, or more mundane clones, or simply mass-converting the world’s prisoners and poor into servitors, is information lost to time. Instead, they felt it would be a better idea to create an unholy fusion of human and Tyranid; and arm them.

Perhaps most disturbingly; the effort resulted in a surprisingly useful Xeno-soldier. Fast; strong; surprisingly intelligent for something so inhuman; and built with a cheerfully homicidal attitude for the slaying of the enemies of the Imperium. In a moment of unusual consideration for the aesthetics of ordinary humans; as opposed to those of the average cogboy; it was determined that the human-aspects of the creatures ought to be styled as a comely female. It had… some effect.

When the Indominus Crusade breached the Rift and began to relieve forces in the Imperium Nihilus, the Inquisition followed quickly; carefully investigating the measures used by those worlds to survive. The Xeno-Hybrids were discovered by an Ordos Xenos Inquisitor who was a noted Radical, whose first instinct was not to execute all Mechanicus personnel involved and Exterminatus every world the things had been deployed to. Instead, he handed said Mechanicus personnel to the Ordos Juris to sort out, and gave his personal attention to government and Astra Militarum officials involved in the combat deployments of these units. Many of both groups even survived their trials.

Even more surprisingly, an Ordos Xenos tribunal narrowly ruled that these hybrids could be acceptable as troops to battle the enemies of the Imperium in limited numbers; at least until they have been expended.

However, despite their being pitched headlong against the enemies of Mankind, the numbers of these heretical creatures does not seem to be decreasing; suggesting that some faction or another has decided to produce more…
