I was designing a weatherproof Arduino case, and the prototype loosely resembled the Drones form silent running. I thought it would make a cool Arduino case for my desk. My version is a scaled down version of the ones here on Thingiverse, I did remake the entire model in Fusion 360, and made it more friendly for my printer.
This model is designed to be articulated. The front and rear toes move via Servos. The vent on the left side is animated, along with the small vent in the wire grille.
I have also added provisions for speakers for fun.
I will be chronicling my build, and will post a link to it.
For now, consider this a Preview of what's to come.
I have worked on and off on this model for almost a year now. It is mostly complete. If you do decide to build it, I will be revising some parts. If you do want to start, do the left and right sides first. The legs are mostly done.
The upper and lower sides for left and right are mostly done.
I will be designing the grill on the face to be laser cut from acrylic.
This is probably 2/3 scale, and as screen accurate as I felt practical. It pulls designs from all 3 drones.

I print in ABS. Instead of printing the larger panels on the 3D printer, I ordered sheets of ABS, and scored them on my Glowforge. The Glueup process is done with Acetone or Weld-On 778 ABS glue
