I doodled a helmet design many years ago whilst idle, I found it again recently and figured I would try to 3d model it. This is my first proper attempt at modelling anything so I fully expect people to tell me what I have done wrong. (and I would appreciate that if anyone has feedback!)
It is in so many pieces as originally I had intended for the top pieces, the side panels and each jaw piece to slide back to expose your face if you were to wear it, but due to the print coming out so large I decided to just make it one shell for this version. I will likely redesign it to be smaller, have an overlap for the sliding pieces and have built-in guide rails too.
The sizing in its current state is quite large as I scaled the outside to a motorbike helmet so I would suggest printing it smaller if you wish to actually wear it. I would also recommend slicing each piece up further as it took a long time and needed a lot of support in its current form. The next version should be much more printer friendly.
I have mostly only finished the front visor but I will upload more pictures of my build as I finish more of it.
