Thought I'd have a crack at making a transformer, pretty pleased at the result! I'll put it up on shapeways in a little bit, but they set the price pretty high up, but I'm willing to do commissions. If you're interested in making and selling him, contact me to negotiate the price.
I have 3 sizes in the model, ~7cm, ~10cm and ~14cm (Legion, Legends and Deluxe). Simply isolate the model you want, and hit print! Legion and Legends sizes can fit on a 12x12cm print bed, but Deluxe requires at least 13x13cm of space.
I might tweak and change features due to feedback, once you've made him be sure to leave some!

Update 0.1:
Added the Legion, Legends and Deluxe scales separately for ease of printing. I also improved the tolerances on the shoulder joint, so it will be more sturdy.

Assembly:

This is designed so that everything is snap in place. If you're having trouble getting the ball joints in, give them a little tap with your hammer. If the ball joints are affected by your printer's tolerances, try changing the size of the balls about 1-2%.
