I dedicate my account to the valorisation of art pieces ,in danger, destructed or underestimated, rarely shown or not avaiable in 3d.
The Sargon mask of the akkadian king is dated 2334–2284 BC, this means it was approximately 5000 years from us . Unfortunately , the Us-Army let the robbers and islamists destruct it in pieces in 2003. Only some pictures remains and the only negatives remaining are in a low format. no 4x5 inches negative exists. This model has been made with photogrametry. the model was just a help for reconstructing it with imagine3d and finalised with lightwave 3d. The model will apperar very small despite it is measured as 36 cm in lightwave so you will have to resize it.
understanding the context
Why was it destructed in 2003 ?
in the middle of the first iraki war, us soldiers let the robbers do their job. It was broken in pieces by islamists.
Why was it in bad condition when it was discoivered
not because of the age. The left eye was broken because some people took the eyes-
Why was it abandonned?
Was in an old city destructed during an akkadian war. Hidden in the ground to preserve it.
